What we do

All public schools in every community across the U.S. – in rural, suburban, or urban areas – should provide at least adequate, safe, warm, dry and comfortable conditions to facilitate effective learning and education. Every child, regardless of where they live or what they look like, is entitled to learn in a facility that is free from hazards and threats to their health. 

We are dedicated to raising awareness and understanding about the impacts that the deteriorated physical conditions of our nation’s schools have on health, educational achievement, cost, environmental sustainability and social justice.

We directly and actively work with core stakeholders that every child, in every room, in every building, in every school, in every community in the U.S. is entitled to learn in an environment that is clean, dry, warm, and comfortable, and is free from hazards, and threats to their health by meeting at least Adequate Building Condition Standards (“ABCs”).
